Wudu Seat – For the changing Muslim work place

Mashallah!! An innovative product indeed!

The WuduSeat

The WuduSeat

The WuduSeat is the first commercially available new sanitaryware item developed for over 100 years and provides a hygienic and easy-to-use facility that is configurable to meet the specific needs of Muslims in the workplace.

“The demand for multi-faith facilities in every walk of life is growing every day as corporate and social responsibility gathers pace,” commented Clive Bromilow, spokesman for the Specialist Washing Company, the company behind the WuduSeat.

Many architects are now incorporating prayer facilities at the design stage of developments, regretfully however often omitting accompanying washing facilities; based on a Court of Appeal ruling in September last year between Ellis Vs Bristol City Council, companies could be liable if there is an accident caused by spillage from inadequate washing facilities”.

“The WuduSeat is the first product available in the marketplace that can be specified for any new build or refurbishment project, which will enable Muslim staff or visitors to undertake their cleansing ritual ‘Wudu’ in one single, purpose built, hygienic receptacle, preventing spillage”.

“Presently, when away from home, there is rarely anywhere suitable for washing of the feet which is part of Wudu, so this is undertaken in hand-basins, raising a number of health and safety issues.

Every commercial building should have at least one faithroom, with appropriate washing facilities for both employees and visitors”.

Made from sanitary-grade acrylic, the WuduSeat is robust and hardwearing, plus easy to keep clean.

Installation is easy, as it only requires standard plumbing.

The WuduSeat’s unique design minimises splashing and overspill – keeping the floor clean and dry; thus reducing the risk of accidents and ensuring that secondary damage is not done to the fabric of the building.

Subhanallah!!! Is this how Israel talks about supporting peace?

After an infamous incursion into Gaza, killing scores of people and razing hundreds of buildings to the ground, the people are printing T-shirts with derogatory slogans for the Israeli Defence Force.

JihadUnspun.com Owner Kidnapped by the Taliban

PESHAWAR, Pakistan – “I am Khadija Abdul Qahaar. I am a convert to Islam. I have been advised to make this video. I am going to be killed at anytime.” So began a chilling video released on Wednesday by Taliban militants who are holding Qahaar, a Canadian woman, hostagesomewhere in the tribal areas of Pakistan.

It appears the founder of JihadUnspun.com, Khadija Abdul Qahar, who is a Canadian convert to Islam, was kidnapped by the Taliban and will be beheaded if the Taliban aren’t paid a ransom of $2 million.

This seems to be a very sad state because the site is known for uncovering the truth on the American war on Afghanistan. Also the site is known for showing the Taliban in a neutral light.

Whatever the case, Sister Khadija is in grave danger, and we are not sure as to what steps are being taken by the governments of Canada or Pakistan.

May Allah [swt] protect her and give her strength and patience in this fitnah. May Allah [swt] bring down His help.

And may Allah [swt] guide all the Muslims to the Straight Path.

As a note, Sister Khadija was heading to Bannu, a town in the Northwest Frontier Province of Pakistan to interview the survivors of the first ever US drone attack [Read: U.S. Plans New Drone Attacks in Pakistan]. Her last official letter can be found on the  site here.

‘Ambitious’ Turkish project aims at modernising the Hadeeth

The Quran Mushaf

The Qur'an Mushaf

A project being spear-headed by Ankara University’s divinity school, aims at modernising the 1400-old sayings of the Prophet Muhammad [saw].  The process consists of comapring the hadeeth with the Quran anddisarding any that conradict.

Another process invloves that of scrutinizing hadeeths based on how it approaches modern-day problems.

Well, if the hadeeths being discarded atually belong to the Shaeeh colltion, then we have a problem.

This  project seems to be another way towards showing the secular colours of the country. Can’t sy wat the intention actually is though.

Saudi Racers Roar All Night, Fueled by Boredom

Saudi youth having a blast at night

NYTimes.com reports of the ‘constructive’ activities the Saudi youth are doing over the weekend.

This comes as a surprise that even during a recession which has hit the Arab states, people are atually spending more money, burning fuel, just because they are bored.

What truly is surprising is that when an incident like Gaza has happened so near to their country, the youth instead of contributing towards aid, and helping out in charity works, are just sitting around feeling bored.

Subahanallah. May Allah swt give us all the strength and save us from laziness and boredom.
